| Mollison Street, Kyneton |
Over the past 100 years the Mollison Bridge crossing the Campaspe River, developed a foundation stability problem.
Cut & Fill secured the contract to restore the bridge to its original structural form and integrity and at the same time maintain the architectural facades as originally constructed.
Photos where taken of the pre start shape and each stone was numbered, recorded, stockpiled and ultimately replaced in its original position.
The wrought iron girders were repositioned and the sheared girders re drilled and bolted (rivets could not be found) repainted and the decking restored as original, together with the wrought iron balustrade and Pillar lights at the feature end posts.
The resultant structure clearly has been restored to its original grandeur and performing its function as originally intended.
