| Pedestrian Bridges and Overpasses |
The scope of structures such as the major Freeway overpass’s on the Belgrave/Hallam Road and in Coffs Harbour, to those constructed at Lorne, Wye River, Moggs Creek and Smythes Creek provide vivid examples of the versatility and expertise that Cut & Fill possess when it comes to structures big and small, using a variety of composite materials in keeping with the surrounding landscape. Pedestrian bridges at Lorne, Moggs and Smythes Creek utilised laminated western hardwoods as the main structural support membrane. In contrast, the wood bridge at Wye River comprises a composite precast/insitu concrete structure constructed within the confined vertical and horizontal constraints of a steep gully river outfall to the southern ocean.
